Katie is a contributing writer based in Detroit. She has a colorful and eclectic sense of style and enjoys filling her Colonial home with art and stacks of books. When she's not covering the latest interior design trends, Katie can usually be found exploring art installations or parks with her husband and their adorable rescue dog.

Katie has nearly 10 years of editorial experience. Prior to freelancing, she worked at Scripps Networks as an Industry Outreach Coordinator assisting with HGTV's Ultimate Outdoor Awards and the Designer of the Year Awards.
