UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2024
Jasmine Roth is officially a mom of two! The Help! I Wrecked My House host welcomed baby Darla Rose Roth into the world on her wedding anniversary (September 7, 2024) — a month earlier than expected — during what Jasmine described as a "terrifying" birth experience.
"Darla Rose Roth was born weighing 4 lbs. 8 oz. and she immediately filled a corner of my heart that I didn’t know was empty," Jasmine wrote in a personal essay on People.com, where she also opened up about the experience.
Her contractions began while she and her husband Bret were out to dinner for their anniversary. They hurried to the hospital but soon realized the one road to get there was gridlocked with traffic. "The 911 operator told my husband ... chances are he was going to deliver the baby right there in our car on the side of the road," Jasmine wrote.
An ambulance arrived and, after many painful contractions, Jasmine made it to the hospital and almost immediately gave birth to Darla. The family then spent 15 days in the hospital, as the doctors and nurses in the ICN took care of "preemie" Darla.
"Hazel keeps telling Darla when she gets older she can build houses with her big sister and her mom."
"We’re overjoyed to be home and that little Darla is growing bigger and stronger each day. Hazel is the best big sister and she’s so excited for her new best friend," Jasmine tells HGTV. "Brett is happily outnumbered and works so hard to make sure all his girls are happy. Hazel keeps telling Darla when she gets older she can build houses with her big sister and her mom — which is the cutest thing ever. I can’t wait to see how this new chapter in Utah treats our little family."
UPDATE: JULY 23, 2024
Fans know that HGTV host Jasmine Roth and her husband of over 10 years, Brett, are "beyond excited" about all the massive changes happening in their lives right now. Between expecting a second child and announcing that her show, Help! I Wrecked My House, will be returning for its fifth season (in Utah!), there's a lot to be excited about.
If you, like us, are wondering if Jasmine and Brett are keeping the gender of their soon-to-be bundle of joy a secret or not — wonder no more. Today, Jasmine shared heartwarming footage and photos with HGTV from her recent gender-reveal celebration. And ...
Baby number two is a girl! Jasmine is "giddy" about the whole situation, and Brett is officially going to be a girl dad to two.
"I feel giddy thinking about how different and unique this little one will be compared to Hazel," Jasmine tells HGTV. "And I'm a little nervous! I have a brother and a sister, and I know how fun both sibling bonds can be, but the bond of sisters can be so special."
And with so much change on the horizon, Jasmine and Brett both feel comforted that even amidst their big move from California to Utah, they'll have the familiarity of bringing another baby girl into the world.
Pink smoke filled the air, indicating the Roths will be welcoming a second girl into their family.
"As a woman working in a male dominated industry, I also look forward to the opportunity to show another little girl that gender doesn't define us, and we can do whatever we dream of and be whoever we want to be," says Jasmine. "This will be one more girl that will know how to swing a hammer, say 'no' and be a strong voice for women as she grows."
Now on to the next task, Jasmine needs a name for baby number two: "Open to all suggestions please ..."

We’re adding another little one to our HGTV family: Jasmine Roth, host of HGTV’s Help! I Wrecked my House, is pregnant with her second child. Jasmine and her husband, Brett Roth, are “beyond excited” to be adding to their family of three.
The couple welcomed their first child, Hazel, back in April 2020. At the time, pregnancy was the last thing on Jasmine’s mind — but after experiencing consistent nausea, someone at the A Very Brady Renovation red carpet party suggested she take a pregnancy test. The next morning, she FaceTimed Brett with the news. “[We're] so excited — also nervous, ecstatic, terrified, overjoyed and all the feelings,” she told HGTV afterwards.
This time around, Jasmine — who first announced the news with People — says her experience looks and feels much different. “I’m almost 40,” Jasmine tells HGTV. “It took us more than a year to get pregnant, and we’re overjoyed to be on this very intentional journey.”

Four-year-old Hazel is also overjoyed at the idea of being a big sister and can’t wait to help out. “We sat down to dinner the other night, and she said, ‘Mom, has the baby been born yet?’" says Jasmine. "I have a feeling I’m going to get a lot of funny questions during this pregnancy."
The design guru is known for her clever home hacks, approachable design ideas and sleek California-cool style. So, of course, we can’t wait to see what she does with the new baby’s nursery. There will be plenty of ideas to steal — that much we’re sure of.
