Curb Appeal, Autumn Edition

Let's take a field trip to all of our favorite fall exteriors from HGTV Magazine. Along the way, you'll see orange and red foliage, wide front porches, cozy accessories, rocking chairs and more. The best part? You don't even have to leave your couch.

First up, Chip and Joanna Gaines' 1895 farmhouse in Texas. The reddish-brown leaves on this stunning tree scream fall, but that's not the only thing giving this exterior autumnal style. Charming red brick on the front porch and the front-facing chimney have all the cozy feels. A trio of wooden rocking chairs are the perfect place to take in the changing seasons.

Jasmine Roth's Cozy, A-Frame Cabin

Designer Jasmine Roth revamped the exterior of this A-frame in Arrowbear, California, with a new porch, door and paint. The woodsy color (Black Fox by Sherwin-Williams) blends right in to the surrounding mountains and foliage. The display of cut wood means a cozy, warm fire is always ready to go!

Fall-ing for Victorian History

This Victorian has major fall fanfare: double front doors, lots of lattice, a stately color scheme and, most importantly, four Adirondack chairs to hunker down in on crisp Autumn nights. A Canadian serviceberry tree (also commonly called shadblow or shadbush) grows in the middle of the yard, while white marguerite daisies bloom to its left. And, of course, the 1871 structure deserves to show off its age with a super-cool "year built" plaque (you'll find it hanging to the left of the front door).

Log Cabin Style

When homeowners Ben and Abby Leber first laid eyes on this lakeside cabin in Minnesota, they weren’t sold. “It was dark and creepy,” says Abby. New windows, a black metal roof and Dutch door (painted Hannah Banana by Benjamin Moore) fixed that! To up the autumnal appeal, they added pumpkins and mums to the front steps. The giant moose head — which came with the house — channels quintessential cabin style.
