Egypt and Mike's Knockout Style
Egypt Sherrodand Mike Jackson are the creative, talented and upbeat powerhouse couple behind Married to Real Estate’s astounding home makeovers. Their real estate, design and construction prowess is as core to their work as their lighthearted-but-hardworking approach to every twist and turn of each renovation job. See how they’ve brought dream home magic to their clients, and get inspiration for your home, too.
In this romantic kitchen, luxury and functionality meet and mingle. An elegant, oversized hood above an immense 60-inch gas range is the room’s dramatic focal point. A panel-ready fridge creates a seamless illusion for the eye, and a butcher block island hand-crafted by Mike was put on casters to allow flexibility in the space. When designing, Egypt knew contrast was needed in this kitchen. With so many rooms in the home being white, the space needed a statement that would anchor the house. Egypt decided to make that statement the kitchen.

In the Kitchen: Natural and Zen
The one request the homeowners had for this beautiful Roswell renovation was natural elements. The goal was to create a Zen space in every area of the home. Mike and Egypt used curvature and various elements such as stone and wood to soften the world within the house. The rounded island mirrors the custom table in the banquet, as does the tambour ridging seen throughout the kitchen.

In the Kitchen: Bringing the Outside In
“It’s all about the windows in the kitchen,” says Egypt of this airy, reimagined space from Season 3 of Married to Real Estate. Egypt and Mike ran a strong campaign to update this kitchen with natural woods and stone, creating a modern, elevated design. The back wall of open shelving further draws the eye toward the natural light created by adding a second window. Quartz countertops are durable and beautiful, and the custom tile adds a unique touch.
